Our Story

Founded by Destiny Farrell

Opulence started in 2016. I was a sophomore in high school.

Before it was a brand, it was a feeling.

My love for fashion started on the basketball court. I always planned on playing in the WNBA and went on to compete at the Division I level. Along the way, I realized I loved building this just as much as I loved basketball.

So I chose it.

If you know basketball culture, you know the shoes matter. The Jordans. The Kobes. The details. The presence. That was my first understanding of style as identity.

At the same time, I was exposed to a completely different standard. My mom worked in Ralph Lauren, so from eight years old I was walking through Ralph Lauren stores and events in Palm Beach. I paid attention to how things were folded, how they were displayed, how the space felt. That was my first real encounter with luxury.

Two very different worlds shaped my perspective. One rooted in discipline. The other in detail.

That balance became Opulence.

What Opulence Means

If you look up the word Opulence, it means great wealth and luxury.

We see it differently.

Opulence is not gold. It is not excess. It is not loud.

Opulence is a feeling.

Peace is the new luxury. Wealth is in the mind, not the pocket.

Opulence is security. Purpose. Health. Freedom. Minimalism. Essentialism.

It is the feeling of a Sunday morning drive with the windows down, your dog in the back seat, the weather perfect. Nothing urgent. Nothing to prove.

That is Opulence.

Why We Design This Way

Opulence is calm by design.

Every piece is intentional, minimal, neutral, balanced.

As a woman wearing streetwear, I noticed most sizing is tailored toward men. Oversized in a way that can feel sloppy instead of structured. I wanted something different. Something unisex that actually respects the body it is on.

Not tight. Not exaggerated. Just considered.

Our silhouettes are designed to feel clean on every body. Gender neutral. Thoughtful. Elevated without trying too hard.

Because when something fits right, you carry yourself differently.

The Premise

Opulence is not about material wealth.

It is about embodiment.

How you move. How you feel in your own skin. How you show up when you are grounded.

We create pieces that support that. Quiet. Strong. Secure.

Opulence is a state of mind.
